On 13 th. April, middle school students went to TACHIKAWA Disaster Defending Museum to take an extracurricular activity. The main target of this extracurricular activity was to practice the Japanese learned in classes into reality and gain the method of lifesaving and fleeing for life when fire broke out. The main reason for choosing this place was that TACHIKAWA Disaster Defending Museum was very near to school, and we could combine various explanations of knowledge with real practice, it was very visual and interesting. During four hours, we had learned to make artificial breathing and practice of how to use fire control implements, how to flee for life when fire occurred, and how to react when earthquake happened. We also viewed documentary of big earthquake. The whole extracurricular activity was very relaxed and happy. Unconsciously we could use Japanese learned in classes to communicate with the commentator and gain the method of lifesaving and fleeing for life by games.
